There are two levels of cleaning: light and heavy. Simple cleaning includes checking device functions and controls. We vacuum coils, fan housings and fan motors, and most interior trim. The condensate tray is cleaned and inspected. The drip line and drainage fixtures are checked. The air filter was replaced and we cleaned the outer shell.
Heavy cleaning involves the same actions as above but requires additional equipment such as compressed air and a special vacuum for the line. At present, we frequently clean all air ducts and connected air registers. This also happens when we apply our sewer sealants, but we only do it when needed. Keep the fan coil assembly clean
There are several things residents can do to keep the fan coil assembly clean. This includes changing the air filter on a regular basis. The air filter should be replaced at least every three months. More frequent filter changes are preferred. Some people are very good at it and replace the air filter once a month.
Vacuuming the floor regularly in the fan coil area will also make a big difference in the amount of dust the unit will collect over time.
